SACRAMENTO, CA (MPG) - Families are invited to a celebration of all things health at Fairytale Town’s Wellness Festival from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 3 at Fairytale Town, 3901 Land Park Drive, Sacramento.

This family-friendly event, powered by Dignity Health and Western Health Advantage, will feature health and wellness activities, fitness fun, flu shots and much more.

Here’s what guests can expect:

Move & Groove Stage: Get your body moving with fun dance classes, yoga sessions, live entertainment and interactive performances for all ages on our Mother Goose Stage.

Teddy Bear Clinic: Bring your favorite stuffed friend to the Dignity Health and Western Health Advantage Teddy Bear Clinic! It is a fun, stress-free way for kids to meet doctors, learn about health checkups and even get a pretend flu shot for their teddy bear. While the plushies get their checkups, pharmacists will be on-site providing real flu shots to both adults and children. Free teddy bears will be available if you do not have one. Please remember to bring your health plan ID to participate!

Active Adventures Zone: Get moving together through fun obstacle courses, movement challenges and active games that encourage families to build healthy habits through play.

Healthy Habits Zone: Discover simple, practical ways to fuel your family with nutritious foods through hands-on activities, healthy snack ideas and interactive nutrition education.

Growing Minds Zone: Explore activities that support children’s emotional well-being by building mindfulness, resilience, self-expression and healthy ways to manage big feelings.

The Wellness Festival is free for all between 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., with Fairytale Town general admission prices in effect from 11 a.m. to 3 a.m. Additionally, Western Health Advantage members get free admission with their plan ID.
