SACRAMENTO, CA (MPG) - The Pocket Greenhaven Community Association announced on Jan. 4 that it will be offering $3,000 in scholarships to graduating seniors from local schools.
The Pocket Greenhaven Community Association thanks all community members for their membership in the organization, as membership dues are one of the key funders of the awards.

All graduating seniors attending high schools within the organization’s boundaries are eligible to apply.
These hyperlocal scholarships will help first-year students and their families cover some of the costs of attendance to accredited colleges and post-secondary career technical education programs for the upcoming 2026-27 academic year.
The main requirement is that students attend schools within the group’s boundaries: North of 35th Avenue, South of the Freeport Regional Water Authority Intake Facility, East of Interstate 5 and West of the Sacramento River.
The Pocket Greenhaven Community Association will begin accepting applications for the scholarships in January. Applications are due by March 10.
Winners will be presented with their scholarship check at the association’s Quarterly Membership Meeting on Thursday April 16 at 6 p.m. at Robbie Waters Pocket-Greenhaven Library, 7335 Gloria Drive.
The association noted that applicants do not have to be a Pocket Greenhaven Community Association member to apply, though memberships are always welcomed and appreciated. Those interested in becoming a member can visit pgca.nationbuilder.com.
